£150.00 (in vat) with bar code scanner and three databases. You can take the scanner anywhere in the house as it can hold 500 barcodes then it connects via a serial cable to computer to download them all. The interface is universal for each data type which is really good. And it is very intutitive which is also good as the help sucks.
Only issues; if you scan a lot of dvds or books at once then search back at your computer, the programme will download all the barcodes, but only search the most effectivley for one code at a time and if it can't find the info for one of the codes, you'll be buggered to know which dvd/book it was...
also you should only do books at one time then dvds another then comixs or music...
other than that - cheap cheerful and it works! Plus it creates html versions of the db to post online (it case your house burns down) AND it can log out items like a library system as to whom barrowed what.
an 8 out of 10!
