pilling the cat [green - with oozing red from open wounds]

need more ideas on how to pill a VERY unwilling beast of evilcat. I have tried:

wrapping pill in butter

shoving as far down throat and holding mouth shut

wrapping cat in a towel (much like the ejde cat-in-a-babygrow experiment not entirely sucessful)

sitting on top of cat

grinding pill and mixing with water and syringing cat

asserting dominance and gently biting cat's ear - that was spetactuallry disaterous

mixing pill with tuna - they are not easily fooled

also where's a good place to buy bandages in bulk?

A vet told me this one: grind pill and mix into 1 pt butter 1pt marmite and spread it on his paw and leg. Chuck cat outside (so as not to mess furniture) it will be forced to lick it off coz the marmite smells so strong. I discovered you had to mix it with butter otherwise the cat, and by cat I mean Parsley, can roll it up off the fur and flick it away!

My sympathy, Our cats are really hard to medicate too. Won't the vet either do it for you or give an injection instead?

he's a sweetie and no problem at all (if i can catch him) - it's artemis! a true bitch queen of them all!
